The Problem

As we have all discovered the FEMA trailers are not an acceptable option in the event of future disasters on our soil. Katrina taught us the importance of being prepared to humanely house displaced families. Many companies have banned together to design a temporary house that can be set up quickly so people can return to a healthy and home like environment while repairing and rebuilding.

Unfortunately, no one has devised a viable idea for the foundations of these homes. A poured slab is too invasive and requires too much red tape and good weather conditions. The blocks and anchor straps originally used on the FEMA trailers proved minimally successful.

Tri-Dyne has specially designed a solution to this problem. The completely pre-cast, reusable, and adjustable Tri-Dyne, Mini Tele-Pier is the solution.

The Tri-Dyne Mini Tele-Pier, using a pre-cast, 6,000 psi concrete base, anchored with helical auger anchors, desired number of cinderblocks for height, and the adjustable Mini Tele-pier at the top; Tri-Dyne has created a completely adjustable, low impact foundation to secure the Katrina Cottages and any small structure to the ground.

After minimal ground leveling the pier footing it simply placed where support is needed and the footing is thoroughly secured to the ground with the helical auger anchors shown above.

The desired height of the pier is then put in place, topped with the adjustable Mini Tele-Pier. The blocks are all secured to the base with the uni-threaded rods which are mechanically attached to the Mini Tele-Pier.

The top of the Mini Tele-Pier is then secured to the custom steel brace and square bend u-bolts to the support and attach the under-frame of the cottages.

Advantages of the Tri-Dyne Mini Tele-Pier

By adding the Tri-Dyne Mini Tele-Pier to the pier, the installer gains up to four inches of adjustability. This can drastically increase the speed of setup by eliminating extensive leveling of the land, and give room for marginal error correction.
